Talc

Talc is a mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate (Mg3Si4O10(OH)2). It is most often found in metamorphic rocks. Soapstone is a well known metamorphic rock that consists primarily of talc. Highest grades ores of talc are produced by selective mining and sorting operations. Partially crushed rocks are taken from a mine to a mill where it is finely ground. Finely ground talc powder is used as a filler in a variety of industries.
